Jake Whiteley
Jake Whiteley has spent more than three decades building businesses, developing properties, and managing complex construction projects in Sonoma County.
A graduate of UC Berkeley, Jake moved to Healdsburg in 1994 and co-founded Flying Goat Coffee. After selling his interest to his partners, he turned his attention to real estate development and project management, eventually focusing on winery construction, tasting rooms, production facilities, and landscape projects throughout Wine Country.
Today, Jake works as an owner's representative, managing projects from the owner's point of view. He coordinates architects, contractors, consultants, budgets, schedules and the countless decisions that happen between an idea and a finished project.
His approach is practical and straightforward: understand the big picture, pay attention to the details, identify problems before they become expensive, and keep everyone moving in the same direction.
Jake has managed significant capital projects for wineries including Flowers Winery, Roederer Estate, Paradise Ridge, Nineteen 22, Merry Edwards Winery and Diamond Creek Vineyard.
He lives in Healdsburg with his wife, Christine Hanna, their dog Layla, seven chickens and a few thousand bees.
